1. Kevlar material

Kevlar is a material made of aromatic polyamide fibers. Also known as Amido. Kevlar has extremely high strength, elastic modulus and chemical resistance. Can withstand high temperature and high pressure environments. Kevlar is often used in body armor, shipbuilding, aerospace, etc.

2. Uses of Kevlar

Kevlar is widely used in the fields of protection and shipbuilding. Kevlar's impact and chemical resistance make it an ideal choice for manufacturing protective equipment such as ship shields, protective clothing, protective gloves and safety belts.

3. Advantages and Disadvantages of Kevlar

Advantages of Kevlar:

- Extremely high strength, elastic modulus and chemical resistance;

- Has excellent heat resistance and can withstand high temperature and high pressure environments;

- Good processability and formability, can be made into components of different shapes as needed.

Disadvantages of Kevlar:

- High cost, not suitable for the production and trade of low-priced products;

- Additional surface coatings and protective layers are required to prevent moisture, ultraviolet rays, threading, etc.;

- Not as hard as carbon fiber and prone to fading and fading.
